The Human Advantage in High-Stakes Change.

Bridging institutional rigour and human innovation to help boards, universities, and senior leaders build resilient leadership and responsible governance in the age of AI.

Two Decades in the Banking Trenches. One Hard Lesson Outside It.

For 20 years, I did everything “right.” I led significant digital and business transformations at HSBC, OCBC and Bank of China. I was the "pack mule": a perfectionist manager who redoes everyone’s work to ensure excellence. It looked like success, but it led me to the hospital twice.

The Pivot: That wake-up call transformed my leadership model from control to empowerment. Today, I provide a compass, not a box, for boards and executives navigating the "human gap" in the age of AI.

How I Help.

Board & Advisory

Governance and leadership oversight that enables speed, without losing trust.

Speaking & Moderation

Keynotes and panels on resilient leadership, the human advantage in AI, and governance that scales.

Teaching / Executive Education

Innovation management and leadership programs grounded in real institutional complexity.

Coaching

For high‑achieving leaders who want sustainable performance, without becoming the “pack mule.”

Board & Advisory

Governance isn’t a blocker. It’s the blueprint that helps institutions scale with clarity, alignment, and resilience.

Open to: INED/NED and advisory roles—Education and Health (also innovation/ESG‑adjacent where governance and stakeholder trust matter).

What I bring

  • Board effectiveness & operating rhythm: decision rights, escalation paths, board pack cadence, committee clarity

  • Responsible AI & governance: oversight that turns AI from hype into accountable workflows

  • Stakeholder complexity: regulated judgment, ethics, and communication in high‑stakes environments

  • Leadership resilience as a governance advantage: the human systems that keep execution sustainable

Typical situations

  • New chair/board wants a clearer governance cadence and decision clarity

  • Institution moving from “transformation projects” to an operating model that sticks

  • Responsible AI adoption where trust, ethics, and accountability need to be explicit

  • Cross‑stakeholder environments where alignment matters more than speed alone

Engagement formats

  • INED/NED roles

  • Advisory board / board advisor (retainer)

  • Board effectiveness diagnostic + facilitated workshop/offsite

  • Governance and responsible‑AI policy/operating cadence design (practical, context‑aware)

If you’re building a future‑ready board or strengthening governance during change, I’d be glad to discuss fit.

Let’s Navigate the Future Together.

No sales pitch. Just a conversation about the complexity you’re working through.
